about
My name is Angelica Clatza. I'm an architect and freelance illustrator from Mexico.
I'm a self-taught illustrator focused on children's books. I love creating characters, visual concepts, and colorful environments using digital techniques.
Although I studied architecture, my true vocation is illustration, especially for children. I strongly believe that illustration can inspire curiosity, foster emotional growth, enrich the imagination, and invite thoughtful reflection from an early age.
I enjoy bringing stories to life through vibrant colors and heartfelt themes of family, friendship, animals, and fantasy. I’m excited to create artwork for board books, activity books, and picture books, in both English and Spanish.
My main inspiration when it comes to drawing is my daughter Emilia. Her playful moments fuel my creativity and motivate me to capture her adventures through art.
